RunnerBox and a Growing List of Startups Seek out Asheville
RunnerBox is the latest in a wave of entrepreneurs that have recently brought their startups to Asheville seeking a supportive and innovative startup community. The RunnerBox offers a monthly subscription service for running-related products and gifts, with boxes curated for triathletes and cyclists too.
Asheville's growing reputation now attracts entrepreneurs from across the country who recognize it as not only an incredible place to live, but also a viable startup city from which to launch and grow globally competitive ventures. Recent additions to AVL's startup scene include Antenna from Portland, ADORAtherapy from New Jersey, and Lever Gear from San Francisco.

Dreampitch Recap: Tal Frankfurt's Pitch to Sacca and Cuban
Asheville founder Tal Frankfurt's spotlight moment at the national Dreamforce pitch competition in San Francisco last week earned the loudest ovation, and a valuable lesson for all founders honing their investor pitches. "Every pitch needs to attach a narrative to a true problem you're trying to solve and why you're doing it better than everybody else," billionaire investor Chris Sacca told Tal following his pitch of CRM Market. After three finalists presented, the $200,000 investment prize was won by a chatbot startup called Claire.

Apply to Join Elevate Program, Seeking 15 New High-Growth AVL Ventures
Elevate, our entrepreneurship program designed to assist high-growth startups in scaling rapidly, is still accepting applications for the January 2017 cohort.
