#CvilleFixIt this weekend!

Bring your broken stuff to get fixed for free by volunteers at the Cville TimeBank Repair Café this Saturday, October 22, 12-4pm at IX Art Park.

The Repair Café is a free community event, open to everyone. Tell your friends!

Not sure what you should bring? Click here for a handy list of stuff we can fix, specialty repair services – and 3 things NOT to bring.

We're very excited to have Top Notch Computers on site offering free advice, tune-ups and other simple services for your PC and Mac.

Hungry? The Breakfast Guy can fix that for you! This new food truck will be outside all day serving up yummy breakfast treats (with awesome vegan options) for around $5.

IX Art Park is located in downtown Charlottesville at 522 2nd Street SE. We'll be in and around the Dream Big warehouse near Monticello Avenue.

PS – Share your repair stories! Tag your pics and posts with #CvilleFixIt

October 17-23 is INTERNATIONAL Repair Café Week

It's true – we're not the first ones to think up this fabulous idea. The very first Repair Café happened in Amsterdam on October 18, 2009. Now, there are more than 1,100 Repair Cafés all over the world.

Read more about it on Shareable, Twitter, and The Daily Fix. Plus, check out the buzz locally on WINA's Morning News and Real Estate Matters with Michael Guthrie.

Need something fixed next week?

Join the TimeBank! We all have things to offer, and we all have things we need. Anyone in the community can sign up to be a TimeBank member. We’d love to have you join.

The next TimeBank orientation for new members is Tuesday, October 25, 5:00 pm at Northside Library. Click here to learn more.
