As the weather has started to turn cold, children may be wearing rain/winter boots to school. Please be sure to send appropriate athletic shoes to school with your child or they will not be able to participate in daily physical activities.

Reminder: Picture Day on Tuesday
Photographers will be in the school to take individual and group class photos on Tuesday, October 25th. A make-up date for students who are absent on picture day will be scheduled at a later date. 

Halloween Costume Parade
If you are available next Monday, October 31st, at 1:00 pm, come see the amazing creativity of Wilkinson students at our Halloween costume parade. Students may wear their costumes to school provided they can see clearly and the costume doesn't pose a trip hazard. We know it's a special day, but please check with your child's teacher before sending any treats to class.

Changes to the WSCC Executive
Elections held at the WSCC meeting last Monday brought new members to the Executive Committee of the WSCC. Thank you to the outgoing Executive of the 2015-2016 WSCC for your service!

We'd like to take some time to give special thanks to the outgoing Chair and Treasurer, Erin Vaillancourt and Sharon Hennessey, for their years of service and their tremendous dedication and commitment to the Wilkinson community.

Fall Fest: Thank you! 
Thank you to everyone who came out for Fall Fest yesterday. We can't wait to see those carved pumpkins around the neighbourhood next Monday. There were many people involved in presenting this event, and we'd like to take a moment to thank:

• The volunteers for their time
• Our community for their donations of costumes and baked goods
• The vendors who supported our school by buying a table to sell their fine wares
• Our pumpkin carving experts for sharing their expertise and creativity
• The kindergarten teachers who let us use their storage unit

Finally, we'd like to thank the Fall Fest planning committee for their hard work putting on this event. They're already gearing up for next year!
