TCR Leads a North American Delegation at COP 22

The 22nd Conference of the Parties will be held in Marrakech, Morocco from November 7 – 18, 2016. It is expected to focus on producing concrete actions and solutions that will contribute to the implementation of the Paris Agreement, which enters into force next month.

In addition to leading a delegation, in partnership with Climate Action Reserve and Georgetown Climate Center, TCR will be co-hosting two official side events at COP 22 that highlight sub-national leadership: Different Routes, Same Destination: Sub-national Approaches to Climate Action in North America, and U.S. States at the Forefront of Climate Action.

Cool Planet Awards Ceremony

The Cool Planet Awards recognize the valuable contribution of Southern California Edison business customers who demonstrate exemplary leadership in energy and carbon management within their business size and industry. The 2016 ceremony took place last Tuesday, October 25th, at the Huntington Library in San Marino, California.

This year's winners represent a diverse set of SCE customers who are making strides to manage and reduce their carbon emissions. This year 21 awardees were recognized. An honorary award was also given to award ceremony creator, Gene Rodrigues, for his visionary work developing the Cool Planet Project.
