Notices

JETHRO’S BAPTISM - Jethro Goodall will be baptised in the morning service on Sunday 27th November. David & Tara invite everyone to share in Jethro’s special day and to stay for a buffet lunch afterwards. Please let us know if you are able to bring a pudding, cake or tray bake, thank you. David & Tara.

ALPHA COURSE - Please take some fliers from the Church Foyer and hand them to people who may be interested in attending Alpha and finding out more about Christianity. Topics will include: Is There More to Life Than This? Who is Jesus? How Can I Have Faith? How Does God Guide Us ? How Do I Resist Evil?

COLLECTION - Over the last few weeks we have trialled having the collection plate brought forward during the first hymn and then prayed for as part of the prayers of intercession rather than being brought forward during the prayers. The Stewards feel this has worked well and we hope this to become the normal way the collection is brought forward so that the prayerful atmosphere during the prayers isn’t broken by everyone standing up. We hope this will help our services to flow well. If you have any feedback on this please do speak to the David or one of the Stewards.

YOUTH WORKER VACANCY (MATERNITY COVER) - Trinity are looking for a Youth Worker to cover Tara Barrick’s period of maternity leave from 3rd January 2017 to 17th July 2017. The Youth Worker will be responsible for supporting Youth Groups, leading Bible Study and small groups, supporting the High School Christian Union and developing a mentoring programme for young people. The post is a fixed term contract and covers 21 hours per week. Applications must be received by 2nd November, please contact the Church Office for a job description and application form, or further details are available via the Church website or Facebook page.

HAITI APPEAL - Following Hurricane Matthew a number of charities have launched emergency appeals including ‘All We Can’ the charity the Harvest Preacher came from. If you would like to donate to the Hurricane Matthew appeal you can do so online by following the link: https://www.charitycheckout.co.uk/291691/haiti or by placing an envelope labelled ‘Haiti Appeal’ into the Church Collection plates on Sunday 23rd October. Last summer Sharon and John Harbottle, who are mission partners in Haiti, visited Trinity and they have sent an update giving more details of the situation in Haiti. This update can be found here or in the Church Foyer or via the Church Office.

CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE 2016 - We will be celebrating Christmas with our traditional Candlelit Carol Service at 6.00 pm on Sunday 18th December.  If you enjoy singing carols please come and join the choir.
