Greetings, friends!

Time flies, and not only when you are having fun!
Since I wrote in July, during our VBS, a lot has happened here, as I am sure in your life as well. I'll try to be shorter this time, so here is a synopsis from our side of the pond.
I should probably start with Timotheus University, as that was what prompted my previous update. After many years and a great deal of effort, Timotheus received the program accreditation in Pastoral Theology from the Education Department here. The next step is institutional accreditation, which involves the financial and administrative aspects of the school, the facilities and library, and other areas. We hope and pray it will be all done and accomplished during this coming year. I was there earlier this month for the first session of the year, as university school-year here starts in early October. I had about 15 students in first year, which is a promising start. So, please pray for Timotheus' institutional accreditation process and for the faculty and students; and if the Lord lays it on your heart to invest financially, the school needs to purchase a good number of books and theological journals for the library....
Things at our Jina church are moving forward.  SInce our VBS in July, we also organized a 3-day camp for 5th grade and up. We took them to a site run by a couple of missionary friends, about 2 hrs away from Jina. None of these students have been in a camp before, yet they had a great time. See Adora's blog for more on this (www.daaaromania.org), Last month we organized a homecoming event at Jina, where those who have their roots in this church were able to come back for a time of fellowship - we had over 100 guests, and a good time was had by all! And, as school started, kids are back in Religion class, which we provide through our Sunday School program. We also started preparations for Christmas, learning a couple of carols... And we hope to have our third Sunday School room ready by Christmas - construction/renovation work at the church has been slow, yet we are making progress. Please pray for the children as they keep hearing the gospel so they respond - it appears in this setting kids have been taught that the faith is for grown-ups... Pray also for a spirit of unity in the church, and motivation to get involved in the Lord's work.
Our family is fairly well. Alex and Adora are loaded with school work - Alex took his SAT a couple of weeks ago, and is looking into colleges (beside studying a lot). Adora would have been very busy with her regular classes, yet decided to add German this year, so she's also buried in books all day. They both help at church, especially with leading children's songs, Alex at the guitar, and Adora on the keyboard. Also, they continue with the youth choir in Sibiu (high-school and university age) - they just served this Sunday, so, if you want, you could see that ministry in action at this address: http://betaniasibiu.ro/media/liveb/  - the program is a bit over 2 hrs, with them singing interspersed through the program up to the 75th minute (Sunday evening program, Oct 16).
Ana and I are keeping busy between work at home and at church ... We have had some work done on the yard, and finally had the insulation finished on the house, for which we are very grateful - Ana made a lot of coffee (and food) during this time. I had sprained an ankle in July, and though I am walking alright now, it's still not completely healed. Also, please pray for health for us in general, as different challenges keep coming up.

I close with Moses' words in Psalm 90:17, where he prays, Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands ... May He establish the work of your hands as well!

In Christ's love and service,

Dan & Ana, Alex and Adora
