Updates Around Town

Thank you to Alpharetta Dept of Public Works for taking care of a long list of projects from our spring Bicycle Advisory Committee discussion:

  • Public Works confirmed that all 9 sewer grates near City Hall have been replaced with new custom grates. (photo above)
  • 1/2 mile of bike lanes added to both sides of Mayfield Rd
  • Blue City Bike Route – Arrows now point in correct direction, with right-hand turns and big hill is downhill.
  • Sharrows painted on section of Charlotte Drive and Wills Road. Looks great!
  • New circular bike racks added around downtown.
Thank you to Recreation & Parks and Dept. of Public Safety for:
  • New signs along Big Creek Greenway to show locations of Bicycle Aid Stations.
  • Assist Eagle Scout with new signs to show connection from Alpharetta Big Creek Greenway to Forsyth Greenway
