November Shows - Hamilton & Milton
Here we go our next shows will be a blast! Up first on Saturday November 12 is one of the hardest working independent musicians on the music scene. After years on the road fronting Canadian rock band The Joys, Sarah Smith went solo in 2012 with her album Stronger Now. Produced by Grammy and Juno winning producer Kevin Doyle (Alannah Myles, Anne Murray) Sarah continues to tour almost year-round. Whether it’s just her and her acoustic guitar or her full band, she is a mesmerizing performer. The 2015 DVD Sarah Smith: Plugged and Unplugged captures Sarah and her band at their absolute best, both live and in the studio. Watch her and you can’t help smiling – her music is her gift, and she lives to share it with the world! This November 11th, one day, before she's in Hamilton, Sarah is having a CD release party at the Aeolian Hall in London Ontario. Tickets are sold out, so if you can't catch her there make sure to come out and see here at Acoustic Blend Cafe November 12th.
Our second show at the Milton Legion Hall on Saturday November 19th is a husband and wife duo, Benjamin and Mia Hackett. Azalea, as they are called, was created after one song writing session when they realized they were a perfect fit for each other. They've released three CD's so far and are about to release their fourth. Their folk-tinged pop sound tugs at the heart strings with haunting melodic and harmonic lines. When hearing them they are reminiscent of The Civil Wars, and Fleetwood Mac. It's gong to be a fun filled night!! You can catch them at various venues around the GTA and at the Milton Legion Hall on Saturday November 19th.
The price and format are the same at both locations: $15 at the door, light coffee house style refreshments and an Open Mic to start. In Milton you will also be able to enjoy alcoholic beverages during the show. There are no more than 4 spots for Open Mic so email, text or call in early to reserve your spot!
Acoustic Blend Cafe is about building community, supporting Canadian talent and businesses, and creating a space for camaraderie and friendship. We set up both the Hamilton and Milton locations to feel like a big living room with comfortable seating, small tables, table cloths, and candle light with light refreshments. All shows are very intimate. Spread the word and bring a friend or three! Like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. Check out our website http://www.acousticblendcafe.com
