AES67 and Ravenna

Audio over Internet Protocol (AoIP) support is under development and presently in testing. This will allow our systems to be compatible with modern digital boards and peripheral devices that support these low-latency protocols.

Call out to anyone using Ravenna Supported mixing boards including Axia, Wheatstone, etc that wish to try out our new systems.

National CAP Tests Sept 21, 2016

We received a call from a customer that didn’t receive and play the test alert. Upon investigation, we determined they had inputted the wrong SGC Code for their region. Please ensure you have the proper SGC code. Here is a tool to help confirm and select the SGC code for your area.

We also had a question about stations reporting to Pelmorex how they receive CAP feeds. Our customers are receiving TCP Socket Feeds supplied by DSL/Cable modems.

CAP Alert Player Receiving TTS Attachments

Some messages being sent to Pelmorex for distribution are in WAV/MP3. This results in much better audio quality and more natural sounding voices, not relying on local TTS. You might see these in the logs as downloading from Amazon as WAV/MP3 files.

Our systems are already designed for this function and will automatically play these types of TTS attachments (when present) that will be accepted and processed successfully without any user intervention.

Contact us anytime if you need any assistance.
