MNL is pleased to partner with the Small Towns – Big Business Initiative to bring an exciting conference to municipal management and economic development staff through our Urban Accord.

Sessions will follow 5 strategic themes: employment; municipal services; procurement; regulatory environment and taxation; and, engagement with industry.

The first “Getting to the Gate” municipal campaign school will be in St. John’s, Sunday, October 30, 9:30am–4pm, at the Capital Hotel on Kenmount Road.

The campaign school sessions will include a range on information including an introduction to the Municipal Elections Act, election fundraising, assembling a campaign team, preparing for media interviews, social media, and public speaking. As well, there will be a panel of former municipal councillors to discuss their experiences. For additional information contact: equalvoicenl@gmail.com
