A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO
Pivotal Times Ahead
As a Committee for Melbourne member I have had the privilege recently to engage with the Committee’s new flagship project, titled Melbourne 4.0, which focuses on the fourth wave of Industrial Revolution to hit our city.
Melbourne 4.0 is leading high level discussions with a large cross-section of city leaders to discuss how this Fourth Industrial Revolution will impact on Melbourne’s emerging mega trends across social, demographic, economic, political, environmental and technological perspectives.
In the meantime, Infrastructure Victoria recently released its 30 year draft strategy and is now seeking responses to its 134 recommendations that they believe will deliver the best economic, social and environmental outcomes for Victoria over the next three decades.

The recent launch of the largest and fastest free Wi-Fi network across Melbourne will improve the visitor experience in the world’s most liveable city. With free Wi-Fi hotpots at Melbourne tourist attractions like the Queen Victoria Market and Bourke Street Mall, it also aligns perfectly with our Visitability program.

Dozens of past participants, VIPs and guests celebrated the graduation of 2016’s Melbourne Tourism Industry Leadership Program (MTILP) class at the Immigration Museum. A big congratulations to all of this year's 22 graduates!

CHECK-IN TO CHINA READY FOR TAKEOFF
Check-in to China participants have completed five intensive Chinese language classes over the past couple of months, facilitated by the program’s Language Partner, the University of Melbourne’s Confucius Institute. Now they step onto their Xiamen Airlines flight to see just how far their new-found language skills will take them.
