Celebrate sustainability across the University of Washington with us during the SustainableUW Festival starting Monday, October 17!

All week we'll be showcasing sustainability events across UW. We've included a few of the highlights below, and you can find the full list at green.uw.edu/festival/events.

Monday, the Department of Global Health presents "Changing Global Health Ecosystems: Humans, Animals, and the Environment," this year's Huskies for Humanity event in Kane Hall's Walker-Ames Room starting at 3:30 p.m. Presenters will address the interactions between humans, animals, and the environment, and the impact on health.

The festival's centerpiece event - the Sustainable Exhibitor Fair - will be Tuesday in the HUB Ballroom from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Dozens of exhibitors who put sustainability first will be there to inform the UW community about their efforts, along with sustainable food samples and entertainment by student groups on the Cultural Sustainability Stage.

The Sustainability Careers Meet & Greet is Wednesday in HUB 334, and Thursday our Husky Highlight in Paccar Hall features 2015 Environmental Innovation Challenge winner JikoPower. Friday you can meet UW Sustainability staff and students during our open house, where we'll also have electric bikes available for test rides.

In addition, you can attend screenings of documentaries on climate change and food waste volunteer with the native plant nursery or to create native pollinator habitat on campus; take a tour of the UW Botanic Garden’s green buildings and gardens; and much more.

Visit green.uw.edu/festival/events for more information and the full list of SustainableUW Festival events. We look forward to celebrating sustainability with you!
