Life has been busy!

It has been a while since I sent out a newsletter, lots has been happening! A great trip to the UK and the Festival of Quilts where it was wonderful to see some of you. Whilst in the UK I was able to spend a little time with some family as well. Then back home to New Zealand and a quick turnaround to Australia as a family member was unwell and passed away. So back home again now and preparing to go to Houston for Quilt Market and Quilt Festival!

I will have a booth at Quilt Festival with The Daily Dot Quilt on display. If you are there, please do come and say hello. Festival dates are November 3-6.

Also going to Sturbridge, MA, after Quilt Festival in Houston to the Pinwheels and Friends Show where I feel privileged to have been invited to teach and bring a lecture, I am really looking forward to all these things! See below for more information.

The Block of the Month, Great Foundations, is on to Block 7 now! There is a video tutorial available here.

That Town and Country Quilt Block of the Day 2016 is going well with lots of Town planning and construction happening around the world! I am so enjoying seeing all the blocks people are making.

This is keeping me well and truly occupied, as well as the travel I am doing.

SusanClaire is going to be in Sturbridge, MA, from November 10-12 at Pinwheels and Friends (a shop hop, mini retreat, vendors, etc.) teaching, lecturing, and introducing Dally Dot. This would be a great time and place to meet if you are in the area.

SusanClaire will be teaching some fun classes, some decorative free-motion stitching on silk and wool, a fascinating basket weave for a bag and That Lock Gate, a small wall-hanging inspired by the lock gates on the canals in the UK.

Block of the Day 2017

A new Block of the Day for 2017, all about the Family Dot! The family are quite active and love to do things that families do, they also have pets who are keen to be involved in life as well! Using delicious Hoffman Bali Dot #885 fabrics, this is a fused, raw edge applique quilt with, yes, you guessed it! 365 blocks!
 

What is GourmetQuilter up to now?

Spending a short time at home, spring is in the air, there are lambs in the paddock and it is starting to get a little warmer!
