Hi, readers! I'm so pleased to be able to offer three holiday selections for you this year that are available today. First I've just released a Christmas ebook boxed set--HOLIDAY FOREVER-AFTERS! By buying the boxed set you receive a discount on the 3 romances. If you already have any of those titles, you can buy the books separately. I've just re-released THE DAD WHO SAVED CHRISTMAS, included in the boxed set, but also available by itself. Also this month is the release of THE MAVERICK'S HOLIDAY SURPRISE, a Harlequin Special Edition Montana Mavericks novel. The print version will be available on October 18 and the ebook on November 1.
Also check at the bottom of this newsletter for a special holiday giveaway just for my newsletter subscribers. And don't miss my weekly giveaways on my Facebook author page (link below next to WHAT'S NEW.)

Chocolate Cheerios Cookies
When I saw Chocolate Cheerios in the grocery store, I thought--new cookie! So here's what I came up with. I hope you and your family enjoy them.
3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons milk
3 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup quick cooking oats
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 cups Chocolate Cheerios
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate mini morsels
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Beat together butter and peanut butter. Cream that mixture with the brown sugar. Beat in eggs. Add milk and vanilla. Mix in salt, baking soda and baking powder flour and oats. Stir in Cheerios rather than mix so they don't completely break up. Stir in mini morsels. Drop by tablespoons onto parchment paper about 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for around 12 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool. Makes 30 – 34 cookies.

The pineapple sage, which is also an herb in my herb bin, blooms this time of year. I learned if my husband plants it in the garden, it grows like a shrub! This time of year my activity turns to cooking rather than gardening. At the Amish market we can still find fresh local produce like yellow squash, white sweet potatoes and apples. Instead of eating with friends on the patio for picnics, I made a birthday dinner inside with roast chicken, steamed broccoli mashed potatoes and salad. Of course, birthday cake with candles for dessert. When hubby and I want comfort food, we turn to white pizza! This one is breadmaker dough, caramelized onion and ricotta topping along with broccoli and smoked turkey. The ricotta topping will be included in one of my upcoming mysteries. Cooking is always an experiment for me!

Our fur babies are changing their favorite spots along with the cooler temperatures. Halo likes the comfy throws on my bed. Zoie often curls up on the pillow in the sunshine. Paddy flitters here and there, sometimes napping with her mom, other times sunbathing on the top shelf of the cat tree. The cooler temperatures are bringing changes for outside strays Bonnie and Clyde. We installed a kitty door in the basement and they're learning how to use it with the door taped open, at least at feeding time.

The preparations for Christmas are as important to me as the holiday. Part of those preparations include decorating the house for the holidays. We do a simpler version now but I like to use ornaments other places than on the tree. My giveaway this issue is for a Lenox ornament you can hang on your tree or display all year long. I'm also including an ebook copy of NATHAN'S VOW, the first book in my Search For Love series. Good luck!
