About D4C: Amateur Radio contest station born in 2007 by a group of radio competition addicted friends.
Located at Cape Verde Archipelago at the top of a 700 m (2100 feet) high mountains.

What is Amateur Radio: it is a popular technical hobby and volunteer public service that uses designated radio frequencies for non-commercial exchange of messages, wireless experimentation, self-training, and emergency communications.

What is Contesting (also known as radiosport): it is a competitive activity pursued by amateur radio operators. In a contest, an amateur radio station, which may be operated by an individual or a team, seeks to contact as many other amateur radio stations as possible in a given period of time and exchange information.
