Your Club - Your AGM - 16th November
As a true members' club everything that happens in the club is decided by the members, through their elected committee representatives. So the AGM is not just for the old hands, or the keen and eager, it is for everyone, and as a bonus, there will even be light refreshments!
As a club Papercourt is totally reliant on the members to run things, and every position in the club is filled by volunteers. If you feel you can help the club, in a major or minor role, there are plenty of vacancies coming up from those that have served their period of office stepping down. There are vacancies in Bar to Sailing Committee, Events to Estate committee and many more, so if you feel you could give just a little time, or a lot to the club, please contact Frank Brown on frankbrown1@ntlworld.com as soon as possible to have a chat.
It is a great way to get to know the inner workings of the club, and to meet other members, as well as keeping our wonderful club running seemlessly.

Club Championships Weekend - 29 and 30th October
The Club Championships are on 29th October and everyone is welcome to come and race. The racing will be divided into two classes - The Lawes Trophy for all those who have never won a Papercourt Club or Class trophy including the 2016 season (excluding any novice trophy or the Frank Pearson Memorial Trophy) and the Champion of Champions for everyone who is excluded from the Lawes. There will be separate starts for the two classes, but races will be over the same course. If you are not already a Champ, this is your chance to compete without them, in the Lawes, so come along and give it a go. Let's have a huge turnout to celebrate the end of a great summer season.
Sunday 30th October, will be the usual club racing - Pursuit and two GH races - but these will not count towards the club late summer series - just fun club racing.

Work Party 6th November with FREE LUNCH - 9am start
Don't forget to let house@papercourt-sc.org.uk know if you have spotted anything around the club that needs attention, and then don't forget to come along and join the fun that is a Papercourt Work Party on 6th November. There are tasks big and small for everyone, and there is a FREE LUNCH for all those who help out in the morning, and the gratification of jobs well done at the end of the day. Being part of the club team is what makes Papercourt such a great place.

Duties Duties Duties
Duties are now loaded into DutyMan up to the end of February 2017
Members are reminded that the duty year is split into two parts, January to June, and July to December, and every member is required to do a duty in both parts of the year.
If you have not yet done a duty in the current part - July to December, be advised that the automatic allocation of duties for the Christmas period is imminent, so if you would like to do duty over that period, volunteer now for your preferred date. Please check on Dutyman to see if you have been allocated a date in November or December, and remember that once allocated it is the member's responsiblity to arrange a swap if it is not convenient.
The new Duty Period starts in January, with the First Footer on 1st January, and members can now volunteer for that and all dates following. Go to this page on the website and click the link on the right hand side:

Thank you - Duties Team

Youth Winter Training Application Form
Youth Winter Training is a great opportunity to hone those skills learnt during the summer, and a great excuse for hot chocolate afterwards. Application forms and further information for youth winter training can be found on the website here:

Power Boat Course
The Power Boat Course running this week was quickly sold out, so the training team are aiming to put on another course in the Spring next year. Watch this space for further information
Trophies
The last call to return your trophies to the kitchen store, polished to a gleam, ready for the engravers and presentation at the annual dinner. Please don't make the trophies officer chase you up personally, as she has enough to do to get the trophies allocated and engraved in time!
