Libertarian Joe Miller Posts Strong Fundraising Numbers In Quarterly Report
Anchorage, Alaska. October 17, 2016 -- Citizens for Joe Miller reported more than a quarter million dollars on-hand in the first Federal Elections Report since filing as a late entry for United States Senate on September 6th.
Miller raised approximately the same amount in three weeks as he raised in his entire 2010 primary run, when he defeated Sen. Lisa Murkowski.
“I am very gratified by the outpouring of support,” said Miller. “The State is coalescing behind this campaign. With more than 70% of donations coming from in-state, Alaskans are clearly energized to make a change. If this level of investment continues, we’ll have the resources to finish strong and hopefully close the deal.”
Miller ended the reporting period with a total of $202,300 raised in just over three weeks. Total cash on hand reported by the committee is approximately $277,300.
More than 70% of new contributions come from Alaska donors, compared to just 41% for chief rival Lisa Murkowski.
Unlike Senator Murkowski who depends heavily on corporate PAC donations, Miller didn’t receive a single PAC donation.
Joe Miller is a limited government Constitutionalist who believes government exists to protect our liberties, not to take them away. He supports free people, free markets, federalism, the Constitutional right to life, the 2nd Amendment, religious liberty, American sovereignty, and a strong national defense.
