Hello Friends,

Barbara is a breast cancer survivor and content curator of www.bethechoice.org. She has 20+ years of experience in research funding and spearheaded efforts in applying to the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) for a grant to develop the website. One of the upsides of her cancer diagnosis was the medical education that went along with it. She is passionate about sharing what she has learned with other newly diagnosed patients.

Shelley is a volunteer who helps create newsletters for BTC.  She is a breast cancer survivor. She is also an Associate Professor of Biology at Carleton University with research expertise in plant genetics and molecular biology.  In her spare time, she loves being outdoors and spending time with friends and family.  

As a scientist and activist, Kristin has been involved with breast cancer issues since 1992. In particular, she is concerned about critical gaps in information delivery based in part on her experiences at New York University Medical School and with the municipal hospital system in New York. Kristin brings her passion for more legible, patient-oriented information to BTC as an architect of the Decision Tree.  Kristin teaches at the University of Toronto.
