Return to Kerala, Anne tells us...

Return to Kerala, Anne tells us...
Six months have passed since we left Kerala and, like each time when we return. Happiness, joy of getting together again and discovering the latest products from the Bloom workshop made by the women.
Like the other areas, Kerala follows the rule of the Prime minister of India: A CLEAN INDIA. Fort Kochi follows this change with the participation of each citizen who can clean, for example, every Saturday morning the beach of Fort cochin.
Vegetable gardens are blooming on the roofs terraces. Sheeba and Biju are the precursors in our area...
Return to Kerala, Anne tells us...
New organic cafés are opening... littles streets are covered with multi-coloured cobbles in order to cover the unhealthy canals... and the bougainvillea are continuously offering us their enchanted lighted and coloured foliage.
At Traveller's office we are very busy. Sanitha, Biju, Hari and Ann are happy and looking forward to prepare the welcoming of the travellers. The Master Art Café reopened his doors under a green arbour with many surprises for the gourmets. You will be very welcomed!!!
You can hear the roaring engines of the famous "Royal Enfield". These motorcycles are really the masters on the road like the other thousands of cars. No worries at all because the Gods are looking after them! Here nobody let them down.... King Mahabali, the benefactor of Kerala, who was expelled from his land by the gods, comes every year to visit his people on the occasion of the celebrations of Onam (the harvest festival).

Jude, Sophie and Surya are leaving to Cochin
Feelings, hugs, smiles....

Jude, Sophie and Surya are leaving to Cochin
Last Thursday September 29th we were in La Rochelle Station for a new journey to India and we were really like stars of cinema. Diego filmed every moment filled with looks, hugs, feelings, shared all together.
We have done a very smooth journey punctuated with presents all along.
When we arrived Biju and Harry were waiting with their beautiful smiles then eat Masala Dosa and drank Chai on the way to our home. We were happy to find again the association family.
Our first days are dedicated to the families, visits and we take all the time we need to listen and to live mindfully every moment.
The ladies of the workshop with Biju and Sanitha in the office are very well and continue in the flow...

The festival of the Virgin Fatima Sunday October 2nd

The festival of the Virgin Fatima
We live in the Portuguese quarter of Cochin. Each year, early October, there is a huge celebration in honour of Fatima. Sunday October 2nd a procession took place around the Santa Cruz basilica.
Surya was the news reporter of this moment filled with colour and fervour.

Rema shows us her new home

Rema shows us her new home
As soon as we arrived Rema was hugely happy to show us her new home. Her small house is plain and simple. Living in a clean place changes the life of all the family.
Rema who is a sewer in the Bloom workshop would like to thank everybody who have contributed to this project. Her family is very happy and everybody is blossoming.
Thank you everybody for your love and help.

News from Usha and Vinu

News from Usha and Vinu
We were happy to see that Usha and Vinu's house work is progressing. The association helped with a financial help, thanks to a private donation.
Usha and Vinu cannot afford yet to do the plasters, the floors, the toilets and the bathroom, to install electricity and gas, to fix windows but, we are going to continue to help them. They are so happy for the improvements in their living conditions so they are coping with this situation. They cook with a wooden fire, they wash themselves in a shed, go and get their water in a fountain. Everything is counted because they do not have any income and they have to manage with what they have. We accompany them to find them some work in order to be more independent and to blossom. In any case they have returned to a proper life and they are more confident for their future.
