A new academic year has started in UK and we welcome all new Boarding school, English language students and University students to the UK. One point worth noting is that some universities also offer a January 2017 postgraduate enrolment for some courses:

There are several universities that offer January enrolment opportunities including:
• Bangor University
• Brunel University
• University of Aberdeen
• University of Dundee
• University of Glasgow
In The News
The Times Higher Education World University rankings have just been released and show University of Oxford taking over top spot from California Institute of Technology. University of Cambridge maintains 4th place.
In the news last week a survey showed that 75% of British people would like to see the same number or more international students in the United Kingdom. The survey polled 2,000 British adults and reveals that 91% also think that international students should be allowed to stay and work in the UK for a period of time after they have completed their study
Finally, as well as a round-up of Education news, our next newsletter will start highlighting a new feature on the site showcasing a different UK city as a study destination. We are starting with Leicester, our home city, but please do let us know your thoughts about your university town or city. What makes it great?
