Two Ways to Help Out Japan House!

We are prepping for our Holiday Bazaar, to be held in mid December. We have been working hard preparing crafts to be sold but we could use some help. We will host a Craft Night on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, from 2:00 to 7:00 pm here at Japan House. We would love to get some volunteers to help during that time, doing tasks like stringing origami cranes or stamping cards, etc. Nothing difficult and no experience necessary----just a desire to help Japan House out. The funds from our annual Bazaar go to support our vital Internship Program. If you think you can help, just respond to this email and let us know. We can guarantee some snacks to nibble on and great company!

If you're interested in helping us out another way, please consider joining us at Art Mart on Saturday, November 5, 2016, 5:00 pm at a mini-benefit for Japan House. Our Sake Seminar and Tasting, sponsored by Art Mart, Maverick Wines, and Vine Connections, will raise funds for our programming while introducing you to a truly amazing range of sake.
You will enjoy different sakes paired with some small samples of western flavors such as cheese, cured meats, pickled vegetables, and chocolate. Sake is definitely not just for sushi; this bit of Japanese culture successfully pairs with many types of food. You will also receive a special homemade Japanese sweet as a takeaway gift.
Tickets are $32 for Tomonokai Members ($16 is tax deductible) and $40 for the general public ($24 is tax deductible). Go to our Eventbrite page to make your reservation now. Art Mart has also generously offered to donate 5% of any 6+ bottle sales to Japan House!
