An old Italian parable tells of a poor man who goes to church every day and prays before the statue of a great saint, begging, "Dear saint - please, give me the grace to win the lottery." After months, the exasperated statue looks down at the begging man and says, "My son - please...buy a ticket."

With our October’s theme of Abundance still guiding us, we ask: which is more important in bringing abundance into our lives; Effort, or Chance? Does it matter more that we keep ourselves open to the forces of luck and synchronicity, or that we put in the hard work needed to build something of our own willpower?

The truth is, Abundance is the result of both. We are in constant co-creation with the universe. Letting go to the flow is beautiful, and leaves room for many a possibility, and yet, sitting back to wait for the universe to bring us exactly what we want means that we may be waiting a while. Working hard to create our success means we achieve much in life, but disregarding the role of visualization, manifestation, serendipity and divine alignment means we are ignoring a vital resource.

This New Moon, take time to contemplate; Are you more of a Grow-Er or a Flow-Er? If your tendency is to fixate on a certain pathway to success and 'grow it alone', ask yourself what can you do to open up to new potential and divine synchronicity? If your tendency is to fixate on a certain pathway to success and 'grow it alone', ask yourself what YOU CAN do to open up to new potential and divine synchronicity?

Buy a ticket and flow into a new life… our featured trainings in Peru and Costa Rica are the perfect place to leap into your highest, most abundant self.  See our "featured trainings" section below.

Announcing: Kula Harvest Gratitude Challenge

This harvest, we invite you to join us in a fourteen day Harvest Gratitude Challenge. It's simple; just wake up, and take five minutes to contemplate three things you are grateful for today. The more we rest in gratitude and appreciation, the more we hold ourselves in a vibration of manifestation, and the more abundant our lives become!

To enter the challenge, add a picture on Instagram and in the "write a caption" section, share what you're grateful for with the world. Then, add the hashtag #kulagratitude and tag @kulacollective so we can see your posts. If you share your gratitude with us for 14 straight days in the month of November, we'll share our gratitude by awarding you $400 off any of our Yoga Trainings in 2017!*

*We will g up to 5 #kulagratitude awards. If there are more than 5 participants, we will draw names to determine winners and consolation prizes will be awarded.
