New initiative announced by the Atlantic Philanthropies & the Ford Foundation

As part of a shared goal to tackle inequality in all its forms, the Atlantic Philanthropies and the Ford Foundation will launch a new project called the Narrative Initiative. Its goal is to equip social change leaders around the world with a deeper understanding of, and fluency in, the power of narrative. From the announcement:

"Our commitment is grounded in our belief that the world needs to better understand and engage widely held, yet often invisible, narratives."

Stay tuned for more details as this important partnership takes shape.
Here's some of what's in our Twitterverse:

#NI16 — The annual Net Impact conference is in Philly this year (Nov. 3-5), and we're pleased to be co-hosting the Sacred Cod screening, featured above, plus a VIP reception. Net Impact is a community of students and young professionals to aspire to be drivers of social and environmental change.

#PopTech — The annual ideas festival, now in its 20th year, just concluded its conference in Camden, Maine. We laughed, we cried, we learned about optimism, authenticity, robots, Vladimir Putin's favorite Beatle, 3D pasta, and more. It was pretty amazing. Here are our thoughts on the matter.

#Debate / #Debate2016 — We know, the presidential debates are over. But our obsession with fact-checking remains. How effective is it, really? Head to the AIM (Assessing the Impact of Media) section of our website and read the 4 big questions our research team wants to answer.

#p4pgh — The City of Pittsburgh and the Heinz Endowments have launched a major effort to create a new model of urban growth and development that is innovative, inclusive and sustainable. The model is based on a framework that includes 4 P's: People, Planet, Place and Performance. This year's conference focused on economic and social equity.
