#BRESA Tech Tips 2016 - 17 Volume IV
|
|
If you have subscribed to our tips very long you are aware that John and I are always on the lookout for engaging uses of technology. At the most recent Michigan Educational Technology Specialists (METS) day of learning I was able to find such a tool
Goose chase is a service that lets you organize and create scavenger hunts. Participants can play on their own, or in teams. They play by downloading the free app, joining the game and completing missions using a smartphone. The missions can be a text response, a photo/video response, or a GPS checkin.
The free version allows five teams or 25 participants to play. If a teacher needs more than this for their class they could apply for a free educational license for their game. Paid district licenses open up the number of players.
I have created a sample game for us to play called '#BRESA Tuesday Game,' the first 25 participants can play, and we will have a prize for the winner! So download the app, search for #BRESA Tuesday Game and complete missions. The game will be active for three days. You will be able to see a leaderboard and watch the stream to see others participating!
