The First Tee of New Hampshire has much to celebrate as you will see in this edition of our newsletter. We have impacted many more youth in New Hampshire with our programs this season and have broadened our reach to new programming, after school, and youth development locations throughout the state. I had the pleasure to participate in a fundraiser for the Claremont location, better known locally as “Dody’s Kids” for years, on a spectacular day at the Claremont Country Club. Marie Allen, the lead volunteer of Dody’s Kids and coach and devoted fan of the Dody Belski, Brian Stowell, hosted the day of golf raising money so that all 50 children in the program will participate for free. In a unique set up in the inaugural year as a First Tee program, they were able to work with another program location, Fore-U Golf in West Lebanon as well as Claremont Country Club, to put a robust program together this year focused almost exclusively on RESPECT, one of our nine core values. Marie Allen spoke to the crowd before the fundraiser about the change she has seen in the kids during the program this summer around RESPECT. We were fortunate to have Jim Blalock, our Lead Coach, participate every week in Claremont with Marie, the other volunteers, and the children to kick off this first year as a First Tee location. Enjoy the rest of the newsletter and the many, many things we have to be proud of as a chapter this season. Thanks to all of our parents, volunteers, staff, financial supporters, Board and Advisory Council members for a wonderful program season.
