Our November Volunteer of the Month is Christine Willems. All four of her children have attended Little Cedars Elementary, and her youngest is currently a sixth grader here. Christine has been our wonderful Hospitality Chair for the past two years, and we are so grateful to have her! She continues to volunteer at PTA events each year, helps out with her children's classroom parties, and last year, she attended the sixth grade camp as a chaperone. In her spare time, Christine enjoys the outdoors and hiking, and is a very talented painter. We appreciate you so much Christine for all you do for the PTA, our school, and especially our students. Thank you!
Fall Fundraiser Update!
From the LCE PTA...
THANK YOU to all of our families and friends for generously donating to the Fall direct give fundraiser! With all your contributions we were able to raise just over $17,000 to help fund programs and activities this year! This total brought us to about 49% of our goal. We set an aggressive fundraising goal for the Fall to help minimize the need for another large fundraiser this year. While we missed the mark on this one, we as a school did amazing and this is a HUGE help to the overall need for the year. We are a lucky school community with so many great families devoted to making this a great place for our kids! Next, we will be looking for some other great fundraising opportunities and reviewing our budget for the year. These items, plus ideas for next years fundraising will be discussed at our next PTA meeting on Nov 29th!

* Adults will need to remain at the skate deck with their children. No drop offs please!
This is a fun family evening of "traveling" around the world and learning about new cultures and traditions!
We would love to have as many families participate as possible. Each participant will need to create a three-fold poster board, food sample (from your country), and supply a stamp to stamp "passports" (we will provide the passports). Examples of what could be on the poster boards are a map, flag, facts, pictures and books on your country. Kids are not limited to use only these examples. Please be creative and use your imagination!
