Boston Brass Quintet

From formal classical arrangements to swinging jazz standards, Boston Brass delights audiences with dazzling musicianship and an entertaining stage presence. Wrote one reviewer, “They played with brash abandon at times, then with feathery gentleness.” They have been featured with orchestras worldwide, on a series of successful albums, and on NPR and the CBS early show. Post-Concert Reception

After the concert on Saturday, October 29, you’re invited to meet and greet the Boston Brass Quintet and your concert-going friends at a reception at Titletown Brewing Company and nibble on complimentary snacks after the concert. Classics by Request

Every Saturday morning beginning at 10 am WPR host Ruthanne Bessman plays listener’s requests on Classics by Request on WPNE FM 89.3. You can submit your requests online at http://www.wpr.org/classics-request or call in toll free during the show at 800-442-7106. This is a great chance to get the word out about Brown County Civic Music Association. Boston Brass Quintet will be performing their own arrangements of the following compositions on Saturday, October 29: J.S. Bach's Wachet auf, Astor Piazolla's Verano Portena, Joaquin Turina's Danza Fantastica and Manual de Falla's Ritual Fire Dance. Please submit your request to hear the original works and be sure to mention that the Boston Brass will be performing their exciting versions on October 29 in the historic Green Bay West High School Ralph Holter Auditorium at 7:30 pm.
