HALLOWEEN PARADE

In light of recent events throughout the nation, clown costumes or costumes of a clown-like figure will not be permitted for our Halloween Parade/Dress up day activities. Thank you for your assistance in ensuring our students enjoy the activities.
The Beaumont Halloween Parade begins at 2:00p on Monday, October 31. The parade will begin at the main front entrance, continue along the carline, and into the carpool circle doors. Please do not park your cars in the car pool circle so we can have enough room for all parents to see the parade. There is extra parking available across the street at Hilltop Park. Please be aware that any parent visiting the parade or parties must be immediately recognizable in accordance with our district safety guidelines. Any parent choosing to wear a costume should not wear any part of the costume that covers the face.
The classroom parties are scheduled for 2:15. Parent/volunteer dismissal will be at 3:00. Due to district guidelines, no food is permitted at the parties, including students' individual snacks.
The morning Kindergarten students’ parade will begin at 9:30 AM. They will parade through the hallways of the school and in the car pool circle. Their party will begin immediately following the parade.
Remember when choosing costumes please avoid costumes that include:
1. gory subjects – costumes depicting monsters, blood, death, horror creatures, controversial political figures, or other frightening characters.
2. weaponry – items resembling guns, swords, rifles, knives, or other weapons
3. avoid full face coverings – material or masks that inhibit vision or breathing or cause students to be unrecognizable. Latex masks are not allowed.
Police presence is scheduled for this event to follow our schools and district’s safety practices.

THANK YOU BOOK FAIR COMMITTEE
Thank you to our book fair committee chairs Mary Hashemi, Renee DelViscio, Michele Bolton, Peggy Myers, Sarah Kenneck, Elena Williamson and the countless volunteers for such a successful fall book fair event at Beaumont!

BEAUMONT BOOSTERTHON
Parents! This year’s main fundraiser is the Beaumont Boosterthon Fun Run! It’s an 8-day program that kicks off with a Pep Rally on November 9. Then families will have time to get pledges for every lap their student runs (30-35 laps), and we’ll celebrate together at the Fun Run on November 18. Our goal is to raise funds to improve our playground area and to supply more technology to our teachers to continue to provide high quality educational experiences for all our children.
Students will also experience an amazing character theme, BACKYARD BOX OFFICE! It’s a movie theme about making a difference by getting into character. Our students will learn from five REAL kid difference-makers. From inventors, to world-class speakers, to business owners, to world-record holders, these five kids will inspire our students to practice the five “Character Acts” and make a difference in our community.
A packet will be sent home with your child on November 9th that will detail the Beaumont Boosterthon event and how to fundraise for our school. Also, all families are invited and encouraged to come out and cheer on your student at the Fun Run on November 18. Thank you for your support! Questions? Please contact chairs, Michelle Cherny, Autumn O’Reilly and Leah LeComte.

BEAUMONT AND THE HSA NEED HELP!

Please contact Courtney O'Brien with any questions about the openings below.

1. Indoor Beautification - Thank you to Stephanie Frederick for volunteering for next year's indoor beautification. If anyone is interested in co-chairing with Stephanie to help decorate the school lobby at the beginning of each month, please contact Courtney O'Brien. Current chairs Elena Williamson and Carey Gillis will help with the transition!

2. Cultural Arts - For the 2017-2018 school year, we need two volunteers to work together to plan all school assemblies. These people will coordinate schedules, contracts and assembly day details with lead teachers and staff at Beaumont as well as with the assembly providers. Chairs will also attend periodic Delta meetings at Easttown Library. This is a fun and rewarding job that gives chairs an opportunity to bring assemblies into our school and see firsthand the children's enthusiasm and excitement about being exposed to different cultural and art related experiences. Current chairs Alicia Asselta and Lindsey Weber.
