' I am pleased to inform you that regulations and guidance have now been published to implement community planning under the Community Empowerment Act. Subject to the approval of the Scottish Parliament, the legislation will come into force on 20 December 2016.

Asset Transfer under the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015

'I am pleased to inform you that regulations and guidance have now been published to implement asset transfer under the Community Empowerment Act. Subject to the approval of the Scottish Parliament, the legislation will come into force on 23 January 2017.'
This sets out the procedures required for making and processing asset transfer requests, for reviews and appeals, and in relation to relevant authorities’ registers of land. Relevant authorities are required, under section 96 of the Act, to have regard to guidance issued by the Scottish Ministers in carrying out their functions relating to asset transfer. Read more...
