Hi <<First Name>>,

Can you believe Halloween is on Monday? No matter what your age, we all look forward to the creativity, humor and excitement that this holiday brings each year. But what if we could build on Halloween's eye-catching costumes and add in the "spirit" of giving back? Done and done! We searched and we scoured and we uncovered some meaningful ways you can support community causes and organizations guaranteed to turn this year’s All Hallows' Eve into a day of treats for all!

Check out some of the organizations that are combining the good with the spooky and how you can help make this holiday a treat for everyone.

Get Your Ghoulish Costume at Goodwill: Instead of buying a new costume at a Halloween superstore this year, get creative and help support low-income families by purchasing your costume at your local Goodwill or Salvation Army. You may be surprised at the treasures you can find and what a vast selection there is at these important community organizations!
Call for Candy CornSpread the Sweetness:  Operation Gratitude Halloween Candy Give-Back sends much-appreciated “thank-you” packages to members of the military deployed all over the world. Check out the map and see where you can donate candy to give our troops the sweet surprise of tasty Halloween treats!
Boo! Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF: This year, carry on the tradition started back in 1950 and help raise money for the organization’s 66th year of Halloween fundraising. Didn’t order the little orange box to put on your stoop? No problem! Check out the other ways to donate to the cause.
Speaking of all this community enrichment and the spirit of giving back, now it's time to turn the spotlight on a very important Olivia's employee and giving back ambassador, Billy Lewis!
Meet Billy
Olivia’s IT Director, Master Volunteer, Kid’s Clothes Club Emperor, Spinach Salad Sage and Computing Genius.
Why He Leads the Olivia’s Foundation’s Partnership with the Kids Clothes Club’s (KCC) Annual Coat Drive: “Getting involved with the KCC was something that just felt natural. Olivia’s had been doing it for many years before I started working here, and I knew I wanted to be part of the tradition. In our day-to-day lives we sometimes lose sight of the fact that there are many people in need. Being involved with the KCC, as well as other charitable organizations, reminds me of that and drives me to help as much as I can.”

The Best Part of the Coat Drive: “Sharing smiles and laughs while working with others to achieve a much larger goal and knowing that the time we put in will make a difference in the life of someone is a highlight every year.”

Favorite Olivia’s Organics Recipe: “I like to keep it simple. For a quick snack, a nice bowl of Olivia’s Spinach with some ranch dressing hits the spot every time. When I am looking to make a meal out of it, I add some chicken and strawberries and swap the ranch dressing for a raspberry vinaigrette.”

What Billy would Be When He Grows Up if He Didn't Find His Calling in IT: “Most people don’t know this, but I wanted to be a park ranger. Growing up fishing in the woods of New Hampshire and attending an overnight summer camp drove my passion for the outdoors. We live in an age where technology drives our lives, and getting outdoors allows me to break away from day-to-day life and just enjoy what nature offers all of us.”

Thanks again for your continued support of the Olivia’s Organics Children's Foundation through your purchase of our products. Wishing you a happy and meaningful Halloween!

Until next week,
Team Olivia's
