The Benefits Open Enrollment Guides have been mailed to home addresses. Open Enrollment (OE) information meetings start the week of October 31 st (refer to the complete schedule below). Eligible employees may enroll for their 2017 benefits starting Monday, November 7 through Friday, November 18. For employees who do not wish to make any enrollment changes to their medical, dental, vision, supplemental life or short-term disability or don’t wish to change their pre- or post-tax deduction status, you DO NOT need to complete an enrollment. Your current benefit elections will roll over for 2017. EXCEPTION: If you wish to enroll in a Health Care or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, you must enroll by the enrollment deadline. All changes will be effective January 1, 2017 and no late enrollments can be accepted!
Attendance at the informational meeting is voluntary but is encouraged to ensure you understand the 2017 benefit changes that may impact you and/or your family members. Spouses are welcome. Representatives from CNIC, ConnectYourCare, Kaiser and others will be available at many of the meetings to assist with questions specific to their plan.
The IRS announced, this week, that they have increased the contribution limit for Health Care FSA’s from $2,550 to $2,600 for 2017. Though the announcement came too late to include in the Open Enrollment Guide, the change has been made in the IV enrollment system.

Registrations Open for Onsite Biometric Health Screenings - Do Something Good for Yourself and Get Rewarded!
We hope you’ll join us for a complimentary, onsite biometric health screening this December. In addition to getting a better picture of your current health and potential health risks, you can earn a $50 gift card to your favorite grocery store as a reward simply for participating in this voluntary screening. In addition to the $50 grocery gift card, five lucky employees will win a $200 Master Card gift card to help with their holiday shopping! Screenings are district-paid and confidential.
The district is partnering with a new wellness partner—Interactive Health—to conduct this year’s onsite health screenings. To qualify for the full $50 incentive, eligible employees must complete an online Health Risk Assessment (available on the Interactive Health registration website) and participate in the onsite biometric health screening in December. Click below for additional information on how to score your $50 gift card and qualify for the $200 gift card drawing!
