3000 people enjoy two-day festival
MANINGRIDA was a hive of music, art, dance, sport and culture at the 2016 L’urra Festival held on October 14 and 15. Approximately 3000 people attended the two-day celebration which showcased the talents and culture of the Maningrida community.
There was a great turn out to all of the events on the program, which included the family fair, opening ceremony fashion parade, youth dance competition, market day and finale L’urra Concert, with many locals and visitors from around the Top End enjoying the festival .. read more >> |
higher education pathways explored
KEY agencies in Gunbalanya and Maningrida have come together to discuss exploring higher education pathways for members of the community as part of Charles Darwin University’s Whole of Engagement (WCE) Initiative. The WCE initiative is funded by the Commonwealth Government, through the Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program (HEPPP), and delivered by researchers employed in the Office of Pro-Vice Chancellor – Indigenous Leadership, Charles Darwin University.
