Charity memorial football match remembers former student
The annual Eren Pars Memorial Cup match was played between Chigwell School Year 12 and Year 13 students.
Eren, who left Chigwell School in 2009, passed away in May 2012 aged 21.
He was a keen footballer and the match is played in his memory each year between two Chigwell sixth form teams.
After the match ended 2-2, the Year 13 team won the encounter on penalties.
The money which Mr and Mrs Pars generously donated will be sent to the Smiles with Grace charity, the choice of the victorious side and Macmillan Cancer Trust which was chosen by the runners-up.
Deputy Headmaster David Gower said: "This match is a wonderful way to remember Eren who loved his football as a part of his wholehearted approach to life."
