It is an absolute delight to be in the company of passionate learners, in person and online. Here's an example: this week, in the mentorship's live call, a question came up: "Should we tell a fellow yoga teacher when we hear them say something anatomically incorrect?"
Other mentees answered this collectively and eloquently:
"It's always better to be kind than right."
"We must remember the first yama, ahimsa: cause no harm", and
"Share at a time when the person is fresh and receptive -- not with others around."
Sheesh. Students like this make my job easy!

If you, too, want a glimpse at collaborative, kindness-based, anatomy-informed yoga learning, come visit Project Yoga Richmond (Virginia) this Saturday. I'm presenting Principles of Sequencing: a Recipe for Body Intelligent Flows. As always, proceeds support Project Yoga Richmond's incredible efforts to bring yoga to the places and people who have limited access.
Dont' forget, you can now practice with me on YouTube, where I'm archiving footage from my weekly lunchtime Gentle Yoga classes and offering quick tips for growing your asana practice for all levels.
