Glow in the Dark Night at KidZRocK--this Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 6-7pm

Glow Games
Black Light Teaching Room
Glow Stick Worship
Take Home Candy Packs

It's going to be another great night at KidZRocK this Wednesday as we learn more about what it means to "Glow in the Dark" with a special night where we will glow like never before!

We hope your child(ren) will be here as we enter a black light teaching room where Ms Dawn will present a special glow in the dark lesson time, share in glow stick worship with Ms Gabby, Courtney and Ashley and play one of their favorite games led by Matt and Heather Campbell with a glow stick twist! We even have a little something special for each child to take home when they are picked up in the car line for dismissal!

At KidZRocK, we love helping HiSKidZ connect to Christ through
fun and creative teaching, games and songs, along with meaningful small group times. We are committed to teaching the message of Jesus with the methods HiSKidZ can relate to.

KidZRocK is for children K-6th grade and meets from 6-7:15pm with the car line for pick up beginning at 7:10.

This month's KidZRocK verse to learn:

Parenting Perfectionists--
10 Tweets About Perfectionism

  1. Failure actually is an option, and is, sometimes, the best way we learn.
  2. Fight perfectionism in your child by praising character not behavior.
  3. Anne Lamott: Perfectionism is the voice of the oppressor. It will keep you cramped and insane your whole life.
  4. Everyone else seems to have it together when we compare our behind the scenes to their highlight reel.
  5. Struggle with perfectionism yourself? Check out Brene Brown’s book, The Gifts of Imperfection.
  6. God has uniquely made each of us with individual strengths and weaknesses. Help your child sees hers realistically.
  7. Encouragement that leads kids to excellence will embrace failure as a learning tool and motivation.
  8.  Brene Brown; Where perfectionism exists, shame is always lurking.
  9. Take the necessary steps to help your child move toward excellence not perfection.
  10. Encouragement is about helping your child embrace the joy of doing his best every day.
Do any of these resonate with you? How can you help your child strive for excellence rather than perfectionism? If you haven't done so yet, be sure to check out this month's parenting video here for more thoughts on parenting perfectionists.
