EUROPE / ALBANIA
Water utilities in Lushnja and Librazhd, Albania, have launched integrity change processes using the integrity management toolbox approach. Following the first integrity risks assessments, the Lushnja utility has planned to focus on reducing non-revenue water with a new programme for illegal connection control, and improvements to their customer complaint mechanisms. The Librazhd utility will focus on improving staff supervision and inspection, improving their public hearings, and establishing whistleblower protection and incentives.

WEST AFRICA / ECOWAS
The Water Resources Coordination Centre of the Economic Community of West African States has signed a memorandum of understanding with WIN. The agreement is a framework for action on water integrity in the West African region.

WEST AFRICA / BURKINA FASO
A new training session on integrity in procurement for large water infrastructure projects is taking place at the Centre des Metiers de l'Eau of ONEA in Ouagadougou, November 7-11, 2016.
