One of the new additions to the guest list is Mount Anvil, just signed as a sponsor of our Public–Private Placemaking programme with Regeneris. Thanks and welcome to both of them!

Finally, with so many events, we know we've been writing you a lot. Keep an eye out for a subscription preferences email which will allow you to filter which kinds of Future of London events or publications you hear about.

All the best and see you out there –

Programme Highlights

Managing London's Exposure to Climate Change

Managing Exposure
London's ageing infrastructure already struggles to cope with relatively minor heat waves and rainfall.Together with Arup, we have assessed strategies to address environmental risks and increase the resilience of London’s assets and services. Managing London's Exposure to Climate Change shares our findings; read the launch summary and download the report here.

Workspace that Works: events

Workspace events
We're excited to announce two new events on workspace and regeneration: a 9 November Workspace Research Forum (kindly hosted by London Councils) bringing together the best of current thinking on London workspace; and a 1 December landlord and operator matching event, bringing together councils, developers, property owners and workspace operators. See our website for more info.

Workspace that Works: visits

Camden Workspace
Our final two field trips of 2016 will focus on workspace and regeneration in Wood Green (15 November) and Park Royal (24 November). To register for either visit, follow the links above. A summary of our September visit to Hackney Wick and Fish Island is also available on our website. Thanks to Pollard Thomas Edwards and Haringey for their support for this series.

Brexit Briefing

Tony Travers
We held our second Brexit Briefing at Arup on 29 Sept, with an expert panel led by LSE Professor Tony Travers assessing the outlook for London's built-environment sector. Speakers warned against complacency and stressed the need to lobby for London's needs. A summary is on our website, alongside a list of relevant articles from elsewhere.

Build to Rent

Vantage Point
Our Build to Rent programme continued with a visit to the Vantage Point scheme at Archway, LB Islington, an office-to-residential conversion of the 17-storey Archway Tower. The visit looked at how the new development is designed and managed, and what amenities are provided with private renters in mind. Read the visit summary here.
