SSVT Daily Bulletin For 10/24/2016


Today is Monday, therefore mini-block is based on your block 1 academic class.


Attention Sophomores  -  it's time to order your class ring! Orders will be taken on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 27TH during lunches in the cafeteria. A $50 dollar deposit is requested when placing your order. Design your custom ring or other customized class jewelry on-line at jostens.com or pick up a jewelry packet in the main office!!

There will be Anime Club meeting Thursday afternoon in room 207.

There will be a meeting of any student interested in playing hockey this winter in the gym immediately after school tomorrow, Tuesday, October 25th.


Picture and ID retakes are going to be next Wednesday, If you would like to order new a new pictures, picture packets are available in Mr. Aubrey's office. If you are retaking, please bring your old photos.

Hey South Shore! The Pep Rally is coming up and what better way to show your pride than a new t-shirt. Student council will be selling colored t-shirts for each grade. What grade has the most spirit?! T-shirts will be sold at lunches for $8.00. $7 if you donate a food item for the food drive at time of purchase.  Go Vikings!


Student Council is running its annual food drive so make sure to bring in any non-perishable food items and add them to the food drive donation box in the cafeteria. Last year we were able to donate over 300 food items and raised over $200.  Let’s see what we can do this year!



Attention SSVT students: Now is the time to get your flu shot!  You can receive your flu shot right in school during school hours.  Stop by the nurses office to get your permission form or log on the SSVT website in the nurses blog section to download a form

The Ambassadors have started a care package for the residents of Haiti. They are looking for  basic everyday needs. Tooth Brushes, Tooth paste, Deodorant, Clothes, etc. They will be keeping a box in Mr. Bello's office across from HVAC.  

SSVT is collecting items for the area's homeless prior to winter. Please donate hats, lightly worn coats and clothes, and personal care items such as deodorants, toothbrushes, and toothpaste to the bin in the front lobby.


Please give generously to both these excellent causes.


The volleyball split their back to back with Old Colony and Rockland on Friday and Saturday.  In their 3-1 win on Friday at Old Colony the team got contributions from every position to help get revenge for a 3-1 home loss earlier in the season.  Saylor Molineaux and Jenna Grande combined for 9 kills, Mairiah Leines and Jade Watts combined for 8 kills and 6 blocks, and Kelli Laubach had a strong serving game, going 11-11 with 3 aces.  The team is off until Thursday when they will host South Shore Christian on Senior Night.

The boys and girls cross country teams will host Diman this afternoon at 3:30.  Our boys will be looking to finish their undefeated season against a strong Diman team that won the league championship in the large vocational division.  Please come outside this afternoon and support our runners as they look to make some more history!

The varsity soccer team will look to clinch a spot in the state tournament this afternoon when they travel to take on South Shore Christian.  The game will be played at 3:45 at Madden Field in Weymouth.  The bus will leave school at 2:45.

The JV football team will travel to Upper Cape this afternoon for a 3:30 game.  Dismissal at 1:50, bus at 2:00.
