Oct. 24, 2016

Dear Friends:

Now that fall break is over, you all must have the mid-winter break on your minds! In the past week, it’s come to our attention that some families are using an outdated printed copy of the school calendar that shows conferences on  Feb. 9 - 10 with mid-winter break on Feb. 13-14.

This past spring, we realized - after we sent out the calendar in January 2016 - that Presidents’ Day is Feb. 20, 2017. We adjusted conferences and the mid-winter break so that conferences are scheduled for Feb. 16-17 and mid-winter break is Feb. 20-21. We apologize if this caused any confusion to you.

All online calendars were updated after we made the change, but we’ve heard some families have an incorrect hard copy or are pulling up an outdated calendar through Google.

Google
If you’re Googling some version of the phrase “The Children’s School Calendar 2016” to find the calendar, you may have pulled up the old, incorrect calendar pdf. We believe we’ve fixed the problem, but you may need to clear your cache before you Google it again. To make sure you’re using the most up-to-date calendar, though, go to  the calendar on the TCS website.

Website Calendar
We’ve also heard that it’s hard to find the calendar on the website. You can find the calendar in the top navigation or in the Parents section on a desktop:

On mobile, it’s in the Parents section:

Once you’re on the calendar page, you can download a pdf here:

Subscribe to the Calendar
You can subscribe to the calendar from the calendar screen and add it to your personal or work calendar. This way, you’ll receive calendar updates and changes as soon as they happen.

We also found out that the calendar on the website wasn’t syncing correctly with our master calendar and some events weren’t showing up. We’ve fixed the problem, and we don’t expect any more issues from here on out.

We apologize for the confusion, and want to make sure that everyone has the revised calendar. Click here to download it.

Thank you!
