Aside from jack-o'-lanterns, scarecrows, wreaths, and other festive decorations, take a few steps to ensure your home stays warmer this winter, with a lower heating bill!
- Use heavy or layered curtains - open them on sunny days to let in the sun's heat, and close them at night to keep the heat in.
- Cover bare floors with rugs or carpeting. This will add to comfort and heat retention, especially if there is little or no floor insulation.
- Pile blankets on beds and couches for a cozy, warm room.
