Cap-Net UNDP's Annual Partners and Network Managers Meeting is now under way. This year, the meeting is organized together with UNEP, GEMS Water, and IW:LEARN. The focus for the meeting is "Towards implementation of the Sustainable Development Goal on Water (SDG 6)", and the meeting is arranged in the UNEP facilities in Nairobi, Kenya, between 8th and 11th November. Training on 'Increasing Capacities of Policy Makers in International Water Law' in Montevideo, Uruguay
A training workshop was arranged in Montevideo, Uruguay, September 26-30, 2016, at the Spanish Cooperation Training Centre (AECID). This workshop forms part of the Latin America Programme on International Water Law, which was started by GWP Central and South America in close cooperation with Universidad Externado de Colombia and involves partners as LA-WETnet, Cap-Net, AECID, University of Dundee, ANA Brazil and others knowledge centres in Latin America.
University Course on Integrated Water Resources Management Presented in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
A round table presentation of the course “Integrated Water Resources Management” adapted for the universities of Kyrgyzstan was held on October 4, 2016, in Bishkek. The round table discussion was organized by the Central Asian Regional Water Network CAR@WAN with the support of the UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty for Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, in cooperation with Kyrgyz Department of Water Resources and Land Reclamation.
Selection for the Regional Master's Program in IWRM, 2017/18 Intake
The Selection Meeting for the Regional Master Program in IWRM 2017/18 intake was held in South Africa on the 8th of September 2016. All coordinators from different specialisation institutions were present at the meeting. The requirements for admission included a good first degree class, relevant working experience and an approval letter from the one’s Ministry of Water.
Training Workshop on Sustainable Water Management
A workshop on sustainable management of the Brahmaputra River System, India, in a changing climate for water security and disaster resilience will be organised in Guwahati, India from 15th to 18th November 2016. It is organised in partnership with UNDP Cap-Net, SCaN and Forum for Policy Dialogue on Water Conflicts in India.
