STRONG DEMAND CONTINUES TO FUEL WATERLOO REGION HOUSING MARKET

The "Seller's Market" continues with an increase in multiple offer situations and homes selling above the asking price. The average home price was pulled upward this month by an increase in homes selling for a half-million dollars and above (23% of residential sales) compared to the same month last year (14% of residential sales).

• 729 Listings on the KWAR’s MLS® System DOWN 53.9% (DOWN 11% compared to last month)
• 577 Residential sales through the KWAR’s MLS® System UP 24.4% 
• 5,818 Year-to-date sales UP 18.3%
• 359 Detached homes sales UP 18.9%
• 130 Condos sales UP 28.7%
• 39 Freehold Townhomes sales UP 2.6%
• 41 Semi Detached sales DOWN 10.5%
