Acceptance!

Thanks so much for signing up! Here is your one-stop place to get the latest news about my books, new releases, and events! I'm so glad you're here.

You know that good news that you've been waiting for? Well, here it is. In my last newsletter, I mentioned I was working on a just-post World War II novel that takes place in Wyoming, tentatively titled MARCHING HOME AGAIN.

War widow Vera Trumbell and her four children have been living with her parents and helping on the family farm while her brothers and father have been away at war. Vera, her mother, and sister eagerly await life on the farm returning to “normal,” especially Fay, who’d like to leave the farm and pursue her dreams. But the war has changed them all: her brother Andrew has brought home a French wife and brother Sam’s fiancée decides she’ll continue working, even when they’re married. And despite Vera's son’s teacher, Dominick, having a dark past, she finds herself attracted to the man she hopes can heal from all he’s experienced.

Their lives, they learn, will never be normal again, but can the Larsons embrace what the future brings?

I'm pleased to announce my publisher has accepted it for publication in 2018! It's will be my first released historical novel, and while I'm SUPER excited, I'm also very nervous. So many things to get wrong without even realizing it! I hope you will all love it.

And meanwhile . . . LOVE, JANE (formally titled "Dear Jane") has a cover! I'll tell you what, it's amazing, as usual. I can't wait to share it all with you.

What Am I Working On?

I've completely rewritten a time-traveling romance I *finished* over four years ago and made it into the story I wanted it to be all along. I'm finishing up the editing and getting it ready to send to my trusted beta readers--they make everything I write looks so good.

I just finished a romance set in 1920s Wyoming on a ranch and inspired by one of my oh-so-favorite John Wayne movies, McClintock! It's so fun, but definitely a mess right now.

My friend Kaylee and I have finished our retelling and our diving back into editing after a month or so off--moving can really put you behind in your work, let me tell you!

As I try to tame the voices in my head calling for new stories (like Walsh from Playing for Keeps--he's demanding some page time) I'm determined to catch up on all the other projects I need to edit too, like DJ's story, the final companion novel to Playing for Keeps, and a lite historical fantasy I wrote earlier this year

Thanks for keeping in touch!
