Counting down the days until this historic election is (finally) over! I will be in Williamsburg that night, and on the 9th and 10th, for the Fourth Annual Virginia Farmers Market Association Conference. Our theme this year is "Sow Stories, Harvest Success." We are working with Story Corps to learn how to tell effective stories about all of the wonderfully unique and vibrant markets throughout the Commonwealth.
We have collaborators from the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Health, Virginia Extension, USDA, and representatives from the Governor's office, too, as well as many, many other supporters and sponsors from all over the state. I'm really looking forward to doing my part in facilitating a food safety forum, which will not be the normal boring panel discussion, you can be assured!
I love this conference, as I get to meet and mingle with others in this field and share our stories. If you know a market manager, please make sure to let them know about this wonderful conference!
There will be no email next week. I need a breather!

See you at the market, or in the kitchen!
