Everyone is invited to our annual Charge Conference on Monday November 21st at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall!
What is a Charge Conference you ask?
In years past this would be the time to go hear the State of the Church from your pastor, go over statistics (that you may or may not care about), agree on the pastor’s salary for the coming year, and complain about or cheer on the work of Ellensburg FUMC.
This year it will be different. Yes, we do have to agree on the pastor’s salary for the coming year, but beyond that this Charge Conference is about listening. While we are not worried about the future of the FUMC Ellensburg, we do know that changes are afoot in the greater United Methodist Denomination. So come with your questions! This is a time to sit with our District Superintendent, Reverend Juli Reinholz, and the Lay Leader of the 7 Rivers District to hear about what is going on in our 7 Rivers District, our PNW Conference, the Western Jurisdiction, and the greater UMC. We will share our hopes and dreams while dining on a light and healthy buffet (we are Methodist and we need food).

‘MEAL IN A CAN’ DRIVE
We are in need of some canned food for the Cold Weather Shelter. We need food that are filling and easy to heat up and eat such as canned soups, chilli, ravioli, spaghetti o’s, or ramen noodles.Please bring the items to the office. Thank you very much!
Community Thanksgiving Service this year will be hosted by First Lutheran Church at 512 N. Ruby St, Ellensburg. The service is on November 20th (Sunday) at 7:00 PM. All are welcome.

Join us for the 'Hanging of the Green' on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 26th, at 4:00 p.m.

UMW GENEALOGY DINNER
HELP NEEDED!
UMW ladies are in need of volunteers to help with the Genealogy Dinner on December 5th. Please email secretary@ellensburgumc.org or stop by the office to sign up. Thank you!
Starting in January, 2017, there will be a change in coffee hour. We are asking the congregation to provide refreshments for coffee hour. If you have cookies, veggies/fruit, crackers and cheese, etc. that you would like to share, please bring your items down to the kitchen before church. There will still be someone assigned to setting up for coffee hour but the congregation will provide refreshments. We’re going to “give this a try” for the New Year.
