If you presented at the 2016 KOTESOL International Conference, the Publications Committee invites you to submit to the KOTESOL Proceedings 2016 a paper based on your presentation. This all-online publication will be available in mid-2017; the deadline for submissions is January 15, 2017. For additional details and submission guidelines, please click here.

Do you want to help shape the future of KOTESOL? Would you like to learn new skills or put your old ones to good use? Are you interested in contributing to the organization in personally meaningful way? Come to the 2016 KOTESOL Leadership Retreat on December 4!
The retreat is open to all members in good standing. Members who attend will be invited to share their opinions, volunteer their skills, and participate on any committees that catch their interest. Additional details will be available online soon.

Last Call for Mailing Address Updates!
The Winter 2017 issue of The English Connection (TEC) will be mailed in December to all members with properly formatted addresses who have not opted out of hard copies. If you wish to receive a copy, please confirm your mailing address ("My Account" --> "Edit." Note: NOT the "Address Book" tab!).
"But I've received my TEC in the past. My address must be correct, right?"
No. Just because you've received TEC in the past doesn't mean your mailing address is correct in the system. Our Publications Committee works hard to fix incorrect mailing labels before posting the magazine to you, but they can't correct your address in the system. Starting with this issue, they will no longer fix incorrect labels; members are responsible for making sure their own mailing address is correct. Please confirm that your address uses the correct format (see the example online) and a 5-digit postal code (if mailing to a Korean address).
Note: You can opt out of hard copies and just read the PDF online! Just select "Don't Send (Postal) Mail" in your online profile ("My account" --> "Edit" tab --> scroll to the check box just below the "Postal Mailing Address Label" box):
You'll still be able to access all issues of TEC online--even the most recent ones, as long as your membership is current.

 The Korea TESOL Journal (volume 12, issue 1) is now online! The contents include ten papers in all, with three book reviews, on topics ranging from student perceptions of group work to custom-designed games, "contentious" video, and more. Members can read this issue online or download the PDF now (must log in first), and hard copies are available upon request.
Submissions are now being accepted for issue 13-1, slated to be published in the first half of 2017. To read past issues, or to view the guidelines for submission, please click here.

Did you know you can opt out of receiving hard copies of The English Connection (TEC)? Just select "Don't Send (Postal) Mail" in your online profile. You'll still be able to access all issues of TEC online in PDF format.
