We’ve seen it before – a plant experiences repeated motor failures and calls in a motor shop to fix the motor. The only issue is sometimes the problem lies elsewhere.
Your average motor shop will repair the motor and send it back into the plant. The problem with that scenario is the root cause of the failure is never identified which means continued downtime and high repair costs for the plant. This type of strategic approach allowed us to help a large coal-fired generating plant that had been experiencing repeated drive motor failures.
Deanne calls herself the “girl Friday” of Mt. Vernon Electric, a division of Decatur Industrial Electric. Our customers know she has a hand in everything that goes through or is sold in the Mt. Vernon shop. She handles everything from customer communication, A/P, A/R, payroll, sales and job history to purchasing and inventory. Deanne grew up on a farm in Richview, IL with a population of around 200 people and helped her dad out in the machine shop he owned. She has two associates’ degrees, general studies and applied science, but her path ended up back at a machine shop – we are sure glad it did! Fun Fact about Deanne: She loves to go to estate auctions!
