Habitat for Humanity Build

We spent the Friday of our Fall Reading Week (Oct 14th) with Habitat for Humanity! Our students loved getting involved and giving back to their community.

Evergreen Tree Planting

We had our second tree planting event on campus on Oct 22nd with Evergreen. Our volunteers were eager to make our campus a greener space, and had lots of fun planting small trees close to the university entrance.

Conscious Activism Documentary

On Oct 25th,  we screened Poverty Inc, a documentary that highlights a new take on solving the poverty crisis of our world.
We followed the screening with a discussion on the current poverty issues the world is facing with the students who were in attendance.

I Pink I Can

We collaborated with the Muslim Students Association and UTM Running Club to organize an event that paid tribute and honoured those affected by Breast Cancer.

We invited a guest speaker to discuss how to become aware of breast cancer and the benefits of learning about early screening followed by a candlelight vigil walk around campus.
