November: National Diabetes Awareness Month!

URec will host two free presentations in November for pre-diabetic and diabetic individuals. Join us to learn more about nutrition and physical activity related to diabetes!

URec is continuously accepting participants in the
 Sun Life Financial Living Well with Diabetes Initiative!


Individuals who are pre-diabetic or diabetic are eligible to take part.

Participants will receive:
  • Savings of over 50% on a base, aquatic or combined memberships!
  • Savings of over 50% on personal training packages!
  • Nutritional tips and guidelines prepared by a Registered Dietician.
  • Presentations and workshops on physical activity and nutrition related to diabetes, led by a CSEP- Certified Exercise Physiologist and/ or Registered Dietician.
Please note that a referral from a health care professional is required.

Snow Series

Stay tuned for this winter's Snow Series schedule! URec will offer many snowshoeing adventures throughout the winter months!

All outings will include snowshoe rentals, transportation, a wilderness guide and hot chocolate.

Bring your friends, partners, colleagues and kids!  

General Information

Fencing Tournament (Nov.6): The UNB Fencing team will host a tournament on Sunday Nov.6, at the Richard J. CURRIE CENTER. Parking may be affected. 

Remembrance Day hours (Nov.11): 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.

We are happy to offer complimentary strength centre orientations to all of our members!

 
An orientation provides the perfect opportunity to receive guidance as you begin, or continue, on your fitness journey.
