Dear residents of Edinburgh Palette,

After the success of the Open Doors, we’d like to propose you to join hands to set up the Makers' Fair in December. 

As always we insist on the Makers' Fair becoming a high quality common curated show and not just a simple line-up of stalls. There is no fee to participate. This warm and friendly event is a good excuse for the arts community at St Margarets to collaborate, get together and celebrate the end of the year with friends and family!

If you want to get involved, please follow this link and sign up for at least one of the proposed dates - so you can organise with Sophia and EP arts team towards the event and sign up for one of the shifts:

This year the Makers' Fair will be set in all 3 galleries:

• Gallery 1 - Ceramics / Stone & Sculpture / Jewellery...
• Gallery 2 - Textiles / Feltmaking / Quilt...
• Gallery 3 - Paper work / Cards / Calendars...

For painters interested, please come to the first meeting as we can see which walls would be available and how to combine with all various other art works and pieces for sale. We want to include paintings in the show but with a collaborative approach with the other forms of arts and crafts.

Dates to put in your diary:

• Information Meetings - 10th, 11th or 12th November - Come and join us for a wee hour, we will get you inspired by this great collective event, explain the concept and the set-up to you and how to get involved. We will also take time to introduce everybody and encourage any kind of collaboration! Sign up link above in red pink.
• Setting up - 7th-8th-9th December (10am)
• Makers Fair Main weekend - 10th-11th December (12pm - 6pm)
• Workshops and other related events and activities - 10th till 18th December
• Makers Fair Second weekend - 17th-18th December (12pm - 6pm)
• Dismantle - 19th-20th December (10am)
